The University of Queensland once again generously provided the delightful venue for this years concours and car display. I am sure many MG owners were happy to answer questions about their cars from the people attending UQ Open Day.

One parent with partner and prospective student in tow was heard to remind her partner in no uncertain terms that they were here to attend the Open Day and not look at the MGs.
Many people availed themselves of the opportunity to test drive the MG6 during the day.
Numbers were down on last year but around 60 to 70 MGs turned out together with the non marque cars making for a display with cars from the early 1930s to the latest MG6.

The concours this year was celebrating the MG TFs, ZAMagnettes and RV8s. It was encouraging to see the owners of these cars enhancing the concours with their magnificent cars. The line up of MG TFs was superb with nine on display from the pristine concours examples to the daily drivers.

Helen an MG TF enthusiast cut the cake and drew the raffles for the MG TF model and the two MG Magnette models. Helen managed to draw her own number and took home the TF to complement her full size TF. Thank you to Brian and Helen for making the effort in bringing their TFs from Tooowomba.
Camille from Lavish Occasions (
www.lavishoccasions.com.au) once again excelled with an English country scene cake to celebrate the birthday cars.
