The Queensland Hillclimb Championships were hosted by the MG Car Club of Queensland at its motor sport facility at Mt Cotton on the first weekend of June.
A smaller field than usual competed in the event, the quality of the racing excelled with nine new class records set.
This included a new outright record of 36.51 seconds set by Brett Hayward. An incredible average of 93.27km per hour. Any quicker and the police will be called.
